The Nuvo P500 is a leading-edge streaming audio player and 2.1 speaker system designed to serve two roles: first, as a high-quality sound source for TVs, and second, as the latest enhancement to Nuvo’s Player Portfolio whole-home audio system, playing network-connected audio files, streaming content from Spotify, Pandora, iHeartRadio, SiriusXM and more, as well as music stored on personal devices.
The P500 features a powered, wireless subwoofer, based on an eight-inch driver, rounding out a speaker system that delivers excellent audio quality for music and movies. Listening enjoyment is enhanced by movie, music, voice and night modes.
While HD and UHD TVs provide glorious, vivid images, their sound is often compromised by thin, small speakers with limited frequency response. The P500, with its sound bar and sub combination, delivers sound quality as lifelike and vivid as any video image.
As part of the multi-zone Nuvo Player Portfolio system, the P500 provides added value and convenience by enabling playback of favorite audio sources, from popular streaming services to music files stored on home networks, smartphones, and other devices. Controllable via its own capacitive-touch, backlit control panel, smartphone and tablet apps or in-wall touchpads, it offers the full features and convenience of other zone players in the Player Portfolio system.
The P500 provides Ethernet or wireless operation (in 802.11 a,b,g,n, 2.4GHz or 5GHz configurations), as well as TOSLINK and analog line inputs. It is sold with a remote control, but can also be controlled via the Nuvo Player app, as well as by Nuvo NV-P10-XX keypads or by many of the control systems offered by Legrand’s partners, such as Control4, Crestron, RTI and URC.
