Following the success of the exclusive IMAX Queen Rock Montreal release, the video will make its global streaming premiere on May 15 on Disney+.
DTS points out the concert release is the first IMAX Enhanced Sound content item powered by its technologies, and the announcement of this collaboration was just made on April 14, 2024.

Announcement Supports IMAX Enhanced Certified Products
DTS emphasizes that Disney+ subscribers who have IMAX Enhanced certified devices will be able to feel the dynamic range of film through the immersive audio experience of DTS:X. Queen Rock Montreal offers music fans to see the legendary band with Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon at the peak of their musical powers. The original concerts, which took place on November 24 and 25, 1981, were arranged specifically to be filmed for a full-length concert film to document their live show. The film was restored for IMAX by Mercury Studios. Executive producers include Geoff Kempin and Alice Webb for Mercury Studios and Jim Beach and Matilda Beach for Queen Films.
Certified device manufacturers that support IMAX Enhanced sound include Denon, Marantz, and JBL, and the company stresses that Disney+ is the first major streaming service to offer IMAX Enhanced, giving its subscribers new ways to experience the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other content.
