TRENDnet, a global manufacturer of SMB and consumer networking and surveillance solutions, has announced the relaunch of its growing cloud network management service: TRENDnet Hive.
The update includes revamped registration and renewal processes, and an enhanced free trial program.
“TRENDnet Hive is a vital network tool that can be utilized by anyone that needs to manage a network or multiple networks; and working closely with our partners already using it, we’ve been able to identify key features to add and enhance since the initial launch,” says Sonny Su, vice president of technology at TRENDnet. “The expanded 1-year free trial will give users more than enough time to see the value that our cloud service provides, including savings on time and management costs.”
The registration process has been simplified and automated for both consumers as well as installers and integrators. There are no longer different account types, or different pricing levels for devices. Purchasing and adding licenses has also been automated. All users can now access these features at any time online through the TRENDnet Hive portal at their convenience.
The TRENDnet Hive free trial program has also been further expanded. Previously 30-days for three devices, a 1-year free trial is now included with the purchase of every new TRENDnet Hive compatible device. After the first year, each device will have a nominal annual fee. A Pro Add-On can be added at the account level which includes support for multi-tenancy, multiple user accounts, and more.
Summarizing the announcement, there is now only one version of TRENDnet Hive at $9.99 per year per device. There is a Pro Add-On available at the account level for $4.99 per year that adds multiuser, multi-tenant, and location tracking features. TRENDnet points out that as a result, users can sign-up and manage their licenses in real time; there is no need to contact a third party.
TRENDnet Hive is a cloud network manager designed to save users on costs and time by centralizing network management and monitoring with support for remote access. This solution provides better overall visibility of network devices from a single, intuitive, and easy-to-use cloud interface.
