ProSource, a national audio, video, and integration buying group, has announced the addition of new audio vendors to its lineup: AudioControl, Bowers & Wilkins, GoldenEar Technologies, Bluesound, and NAD Electronics.
“The ProSource Audio and CI Committees conducted an extensive review of our brand mix, and the analysis identified a few companies that had fallen out of alignment with the group’s objectives. This allowed us to engage with a select group of new partners to better serve the needs of our membership moving forward,” says Dave Workman, President and CEO of ProSource.
“Each of these fine audio brands holds tremendous growth potential, offering a value proposition of differentiation, and has provided ProSource the unique and beneficial program structure we require for participation in the group.”
AudioControl is a designer and manufacturer of innovative high-performance audio solutions for the residential, commercial, and automotive markets. Based in Seattle, Washington, the company offers home theater and whole-house entertainment products, distributed audio amplifiers for commercial applications, and a legacy of outstanding car audio processors, amplifiers, and OEM interface solutions sold and installed worldwide by qualified professionals.
Bowers & Wilkins’ story is familiar to every audio enthusiast and increasingly to a wider audience of people who simply appreciate quality. Founded in the U.K. in 1966, the company leverages over 50 years of experience in building the finest loudspeakers, cherished by owners and used by recording professionals — from Abbey Road Studios to Skywalker Sound — to create the soundtracks for music and movies people love.
GoldenEar Technology is headed by industry icon Sandy Gross, and it delivers products such as the Triton towers, Aon and BRX bookshelf speakers, SuperSat satellites, ForceField and SuperSub powered subwoofers.
Bluesound’s sole mission is to create wireless audio products and technologies that allow for the most true-to-live performance music reproduction. Bluesound incorporates the BluOS operating system and it provides control options for smartphones, tablets, and PC desktops to manage store cloud music sources for playback with support for high-resolution audio streams up to 24/192.
NAD Electronics is known for its audio, home theater, and custom installation applications.
ProSource Partners with Cleer
In addition to those those newly formed alliances, the buying group has also partnered with Cleer, Inc., a San Diego based home and smart audio company.
“ProSource recognizes the value of Cleer Audio and its recent product achievements and successes,” adds Workman.
“Cleer has a unique and progressive design and performance ethos with their products that aligns well with our members and is set to create new business opportunities.”
