Logitech is releasing the Zone Wireless 2, a new business headset designed for hybrid workers that features AI-enabled two-way noise-free calling experiences.
According to Logitech, the Zone Wireless 2 features noise-canceling microphones, active noise cancellation, and personalized stereo sound to help users hear and be heard clearly in virtual meetings, regardless of location.
Citing a recent study, Logitech says 85% of remote workers struggle with audio issues, including from background noise from other participants or poor sound quality through computer audio. However, the study also found that hybrid workforces are poorly equipped with modern collaboration tools aside from their laptop’s built-in microphone, speakers and camera.
The Zone Wireless 2 allows users to suppress ambient noise from the other side of the call, even if that person isn’t using a noise-canceling headset. The Advanced Call Clarity feature, activated through Logi Tune, uses Ai to separate the other caller’s voice from their background, while the headset’s noise-cancelling mics suppress distracting sounds and near conversations to isolate the user’s voice, creating two-way noise suppression.
According to Logitech, hybrid active noise cancellation blocks out noise around workspaces, such as keyboard clicks, nearby talkers, HVAC noises and more. Meanwhile, transparency mode helps users stay aware of their surroundings while wearing the headset.
With Logi Tune, users can customize the headset to fit their individual hearing range through a self-administered hearing test.
The Zone Wireless 2 also includes multipoint Bluetooth and smart enumeration, allowing the user to walk away from their workstation and return with the headset still connected and enabling intelligent switching between headset and computer audio without the user having to manually toggle among audio sources or remove a dongle.
The headset also provides up to 40 hours of battery life, with talk time and listening time varying based on whether active noise cancelling is on or off.
