The Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based cable manufacturer Wireworld has announced that its Stellar Ultra High Speed HDMI cable has been certified by the HDMI Forum as Ultra High Speed.
Wireworld states that its latest HDMI cable is available in a choice of 5-, 10, 15- and 20-meter lengths, and in order to achieve its Ultra High Speed Certification, it had to submit the cable to the HDMI Forum Authorized Testing Center.
According to Wireworld, now with 4K content common and a number of products already available that support HDMI 2.1 features, it worked to develop a cable that would meet current and future market needs. The Stellar Ultra High Speed HDMI cable supports 8K at 60Hz and 4K video at 120Hz refresh rates.
Wireworld emphasizes the cables deliver 48Gbps throughput and they are backwards compatible with previous generations of HDMI formats.
The company adds the Stellar Ultra High Speed HDMI cable line is also engineered to minimize EMI interference from products that include wireless components, and the cables will bear special Certified Ultra High Speed cable logos.
