Offering integrators, a new retrofit-friendly connectivity solution for 4K content, Vanco says that its new EV4KWHDMI 4K Wireless HDMI Extender is now shipping.
The Midwest-based company states that its latest connectivity product wirelessly transmits 4K at 60Hz video with chroma subsampling rates up to 4:4:4 distances as far as 154 feet. Vanco points out that in addition to its video capabilities, the EV4KWHDMI 4K Wireless HDMI Extender also wirelessly transmits two channels of LPCM audio without the need for line of sight.
Through its wireless capabilities Vanco emphasizes that professional integrators can setup the HDMI Extender in locations that other products cannot wireless perform reliably through its ability to transmit through walls and floors. The Vanco EV4KWHDMI 4K Wireless HDMI Extender is also designed to avoid any wireless signal errors through technologies that help the product to avoid conflicts with wireless RF signals to support the use of remote controls.
Vanco emphasizes the wireless unit incorporates features such as IR control signal passthrough to allow homeowners to control their HDMI sources remotely.
In addition, the company notes, the EV4KWHDMI 4K Wireless HDMI Extender also features an HDMI loop-out option on the transmitter end to allow integrators to set up local monitoring or integrators can use this option to set up systems that cascade the signal to additional AV distribution components.
