The popular electronics manufacturer Logitech has announced a new enhancement for its collaboration room solutions: the Swytch.
Logitech says its latest product works with room solutions such as its Microsoft Teams Rooms and Zoom Rooms, and it enables users to join video conferencing meetings using a single USB connection.
Through the use of the Swytch the company explains, users can switch control of cameras and audio devices. Users can also perform functions such as hosting meetings and displaying meetings in boardrooms and huddle rooms without having to go through complicated procedures.
Logitech emphasizes, the small-footprint, one-cable laptop link allows users to run meetings with any video conferencing platform from their laptop computers.
According to the company, all someone needs to do is plug the Swytch connector into their laptop. Once a meeting is finished, all that needs to be done is to simply unplug the Swytch.
Some of the features Swytch offers include:
- Bring your own Meeting (BYOM) to any room
- It streamlines connections through its ability to connect using a single cable
- Swytch also provides compatibility with USB 3.0 or higher, including Type A or Type C, and DisplayLink drivers such as Windows 10 laptop, MacBook or Chromebook
- The product will also charge connected laptops during conferencing sessions
- Logitech stresses the Swytch cleans up the spaghetti mess of cables in conference and huddle rooms
