Providing a choice of room friendly subwoofers, PSB Speakers has introduced its new Alpha S8 and Alpha S10 subwoofers.
PSB says that its latest Alpha series products provide homeowners with a choice of affordable subwoofers that are capable of delivering, “detail, finest and musicality.”
The Canadian audio company explains that part of its new subwoofers’ development, it paid close attention to the design of the subwoofers’ crossover filters and tunings.
Another design goal that PSB focused on for the Alpha S8 and Alpha S10 subwoofers was the amount of port noise the products produced. To combat the problem of port noise, the Alpha S8 and Alpha S10 incorporate rear slot port designs that are engineered to eliminate port noise.
Internally, the subwoofers incorporate 150-watt RMS amplifiers that are capable of 210-watt peaks. The subs also include specialized long-throw woofers that reside in bass-reflex enclosures.
