At the just completed NAB 2022 show in Les Vegas, NETGEAR announced a couple additions to its M4250 network switches series of products.
NETGEAR says that integrators with a few clicks of a mouse configure these new switches for AV over IP applications, including digital signage, corporate conference board rooms and more. The first of the two M4250 network switches is the M4250-9G1F-PoE+ (GSM4210PD) model. NETGEAR says this fanless network switch is designed for audio installations. The switch features eight 1G PoE+ ports, as well as another 1G standard port, and a SFP port for uplinks.
The other new M4250 network switch is the M4250-8G2XF-PoE+ (GSM4210PX). The company explains this switch incorporates adjustable fans, along with eight 1G PoE+ ports, and an additional two SFP+ ports for high bandwidth uplinks to support video installations.
In addition to the pair of new switches, the global networking company also announced its NETGEAR Engage Controller Application.
According to the company, the NETGEAR Engage Controller Application builds upon its the GUI found in the 4250 line of products by providing integrators the ability to configure the AV over IP-friendly network switches with a few clicks of a mouse.
