Available through its North American distributor Kevro, the U.K.-based home audio manufacturer, Monitor Audio, has introduced its Platinum In-Wall 3G Loudspeaker.
The latest architectural loudspeaker from the company can be used as a LCR solution by professional integrators in a home theater or immersive audio system, or as a room-friendly two-channel, stereo speaker option. Monitor Audio points out the new Platinum In-Wall 3G Loudspeaker utilizes the company’s MPD III High-Frequency Transducer, as well as Monitor Audio‘s RDT III cone technology, and Dynamic Coupling Filter (DCF) technology that is said to dampen excess high-frequency energy.
Monitor Audio also emphasizes that its latest loudspeaker product employs a reinforced and internally braced hybrid 1-inch MDF and steel box construction that supports the use of the company’s adjustable mid/high-frequency driver array. Monitor Audio states this adjustable midrange and high-frequency driver array works on the same conceptual theories as its THX Ultra certified Cinergy Theatre series of products.
Some of the other technologies the Platinum In-Wall 3G Loudspeaker incorporates include Monitor Audio’s dual 6.5-inch low-frequency woofers, along a single 4-inch midrange driver, and its MPD III Transducer.
The British manufacturer adds the 4-ohm, three-way Platinum Audio In-Wall 3G Loudspeaker in-room frequency response is rated at 27Hz to 60kHz, and its sensitivity at 88dB.
