The latest digital media player from Luxman is the company’s new D-03X CD/digital media player.
Luxman says the D-03X CD/digital media player provides users with MQA decoding; support for the audiophile DSD format up to the quad-rate 11.28MHz, Bulk Pet USB transfer, and fully balanced output circuitry.
According to the company, the digital media player incorporates independent left and right monaural-mode Texas Instruments PCM1975 digital-to-analog converters (DACs), and a “high-precision” clock module that is said to minimize phase noise around the oscillation frequency.
Luxman emphasizes the D-03X CD/digital media player is capable of playing a range of media types via its USB input, and its free LUXMAN Audio Player computer software is available with Mac OS and PCs. The software provides users the ability to decode WAV, AIFF, FLAC, MP3, ALAC, DSF and DSDIFF files.
In addition, the D-03X not only supports fixed bitrate file transfers; the unit’s USB input also supports two modes of the Bulk Pet high-resolution audio file transfer option.
Bulk Pet is said to optimize data packaging and file delivery to the DACs to reduce the workload for the processor for both the host and device’s CPU.
Luxman adds the player provides S/PDIF coax/optical input support for PCM files up to 24-bit/192kHz, and MQA file support up to 24-bit transferred via USB, optical and coaxial inputs.
Moreover, the D-03X offers a choice of 18mm gold-plated RCA or Neutrik XLR balanced outputs.
