Designed to provide high levels of performance at price points that are competitive within the market, JBL Synthesis has announced its HDI Series of speakers.
JBL Synthesis states the flagship within the product line is the 2.5-way design HDI-3800 floorstanding loudspeaker that incorporates a trio of 8-inch woofers.
Along with the HDI-3800, the rest of the HDI Series includes the 2.5-way HDI-3600, which employs three 6.5-inch woofers; the two-way HDI-1600 bookshelf speaker that includes optional floor stands, the 2.5-way HDI-4500 center-channel speaker, and the 12-inch, 1,000-watt RMS HDI-1200P powered subwoofer.
The California-based audio company emphasizes the four loudspeakers in the line-up employ its 2410H-2 compression driver, and the speakers benefit from JBL Professional’s D2 transducers.
JBL Synthesis points out the HDI Series’ subwoofer, the HDI-1200P utilizes the same driver technologies as the loudspeakers. These technologies include cast-aluminum frames, Harman’s latest motor designs and its newest edition Advanced Aluminum Matrix cones. The subwoofer specifically uses a high-density Poly-Pas cone and a 3-inch voice coil.
Externally, the HDI Series features flush-mount woofer trim rings, invisible fasteners and magnetic grilles. The bookshelf and floorstanding models incorporate gloss-black plinths, and all of the models are available in a choice of three finishes: painted, high-gloss black, satin walnut veneer and a satin gray oak veneer.
