The German professional audio company d&b audiotechnik has announced its new 44S loudspeaker.
d&b audiotechnik says the 44S loudspeaker is its first flush-mount model, and the speaker is designed to address a range of installation scenarios.
The speaker features an “intelligent waveguide and baffle design” that creates horizontal dispersion down to lower frequencies, while maintaining its vertical focus.
According to the European-based manufacturer, the speaker provides users with a 90-degree x 30-degree dispersion pattern, and through its asymmetric cabinet design and optional back box, the speaker supports adjustments of -20 degrees in 5-degree increments.
d&b audiotechnik states that when integrators drive the speaker with its 10D or 30D installation amplifiers, the speaker will be capable of producing up to 121dB and 123dB of output respectively.
The company adds the two-way passive 44S loudspeaker’s cabinet measures 5 inches x 15.3 inches x 5.9 inches, and internally, the speaker utilizes a pair of 4.5-inch neodymium low-frequency drivers and two 1.25-inch high-frequency dome tweeters.
d&b audiotechnik adds the speaker delivers a frequency response of 90Hz to 17kHz.
