On Oct. 16 Sound United, the parent company of brands that include Definitive Technology, Denon, Marantz, Classe, and Bowers & Wilkins, will hold its next webinar: “How Movie and Music Engineers Mix Magic.”
The company rhetorically asks participants, “do you have a favorite scene in a movie or song that really moves you? Is there a particularly impressive track you constantly use for demonstrations?” Phil Jones and the Sound United Training team are joined by some of their “friends” and a new special guest: Gary Bourgeois.
Bourgeois is a noted re-recording mixer who has worked on films like “Captain America: the First Avenger” and “Hot Tub Time Machine.” He has also worked on many successful TV shows like “S.W.A.T,” “Bull,” and “Timeless,” Bourgeois and other expert content creators like Sound United webinar favorites John Calder and Glen Stone will discuss what they were trying to achieve when they mix movie and music content.Â
