TruAudio announced today the acquisition of BoraGear, manufacturer of ultra-quiet cooling systems and thermal management. Outside of its main product category of architectural, outdoor and commercial speakers, TruAudio offers other solutions from brand names like Unified Copper, FORGE and Padimount that address high end home theater, whole-house audio, rack, cabling and iOS mounting.
The new addition of BoraGear will integrate well with the company's FORGE equipment racks, according to the company.
“Finding ways to integrate our existing product solutions is an ongoing focus for us at TruAudio,” says Kary Wawrzyniak, EVP of operations, TruAudio. “Some of the most important and expensive gear our dealers are installing is being placed in racks. Not paying attention to the the air flow and temperature control can cause tens of thousands of dollars in damage from overheating. Offering the best cooling systems on the market is a big win for us.”
Boragear has been in business for over ten years and gives TruAudio access to an additional 600 active dealers. BoraGear’s dealer base will allow added growth in the commercial and other distribution channels where equipment racks are needed for large projects such as government, hospitality, retail and corporate.
In 2013, TruAudio became the sole supplier of Bora Gear products throughout the world in an exclusive partnership. Now the two will operate under the same umbrella.
“When we forged our exclusive partnership with BoraGear over four years ago, we appreciated what a great company they were in developing a simplified business model, specializing in cost-effective, high-performance cooling solutions for the audio/video industry,” adds says Bryan Garner, president, TruAudio. “The relationship will continue to be collaborative and we will work with the BoraGear engineers to expand the line.”
TruAudio plans to incorporate the majority of existing BoraGear products with its FORGE racks and rack bundles. There are also immediate plans to expand the line and offer additional cooling solutions and components that integrate with the major automation players in the custom installation industry.
TruAudio dealers will have immediate access to the full line of BoraGear cooling products.
