Totem Acoustic Demonstrates Kin Mini Flex Speakers at Montreal Audiofest

During the Montreal Audiofest, a Totem Acoustic Kin Mini Flex home theater demonstration showed how the $400 speaker system could reproduce video game, movie and concert content.

Underscoring the design philosophies that have made the company a go-to speaker manufacturer for dealers for decades, the Totem Acoustic Kin Mini Flex was recently demonstrated to Montreal Audiofest show attendees.

In the audio company's show space, the room was split in half. One side of the room featured a stereo demonstration that included its Signature One monitor and Tribe Tower speakers. The other half of the room featured a 7.2 system that consisted of seven $400 KIN Mini Flex speakers and a pair of Tribe subwoofers driven by an AudioControl amplifier.

Totem used the home theater system to play a range of content spanning video games, music concerts, and movies.

“The Montreal Audiofest is historically geared towards audiophiles with two-channel systems,” says Lucy Lentini, vice president of sales and marketing, Totem Acoustic.

“But, implementing free admission has brought a new diverse audience, and we felt it was an opportune time to present a multichannel system on a high-profile, public stage. The KIN Mini Flex system playing a variety of entertainment options appeals to all members of the family and demonstrates that Totem covers all ages, applications and preferences.”

Totem Acoustic KIN Mini Flex Is Home Friendly

Designed as a small-footprint solution, the KIN Mini Flex speaker can be utilized by integrators in a vertical or horizontal position, as well as locations including on furniture, walls, and ceilings.

The speaker features a front angle to optimize downward diffraction, and internally the speaker employs Phenolic honeycomb woofers and a soft-dome tweeter.
