Sonos Lowers Prices and Announces Accessories

Sonos has lowered the prices on several of its products, and announced three new accessories: The Shelf (pictured here), the Sonos Stand, and Sonos Power Cables.

Just in time for the biggest game of the NFL season, Sonos has lowered the price of its Playbar, Playbase, Sub, and Beam products.

Sonos has taken $100 off the Playbar, Playbase, and Sub, marking each down to $599.

The company has also taken $50 off the price of its Beam powered speaker, making its new price $349. This means a new 3.1 setup including either a Playbar or Playbase, along with a Sub will carry a cost of $1,198 ($200 in savings).

These discounts Sonos emphasizes are for a limited time only, and the offer ends on Feb. 3.

In addition to lowering the prices on several of its products, Sonos has announced new accessories to help integrators install its products into a wider array of systems.

Here is a look at each of these new products:

Sonos Shelf: The new Shelf accessory is specifically designed to support the Sonos One and Play:1 speakers. The Shelf helps integrators carve out space for Sonos speakers into previously hard to fit locations.

Available in a choice of black or white finishes, the Shelf measures 0.9 inches by 10.4 inches by 6.3 inches (H x W x D). The Shelf weighs one pound, and it carries a retail price of $60.

Sonos Stand: Priced at $250 per pair, the Sonos Stand is a custom-designed set of stands meant for use with the Sonos One or Play:1 speakers.

The Sonos Stand incorporates cable management options, and the company says the product sets up easily and allow integrators to place Sonos One or Play:1 speakers properly without taking up shelf space.

Sonos Power Cables: Ranging in cost from $20 to $30, the new Sonos Power Cables extend the reach of its speaker products to provide more placement options within a home.

Sonos offers a choice of lengths including short 19.7-inch cables and long 11.5-foot cables. The cables are built with the same materials as the company's standard 6-foot cables and come in a choice of black or white.
