In a bid to enhance its line of networking products and tools, SnapAV has partnered with a new affiliate MetaGeek to sell the company’s wireless diagnostic and configuration software through SnapAV's distribution channels.
“MetaGeek is an industry leader in this space,” notes Andras Balassy, product line manager of distributed products, SnapAV.
He characterizes the deal as a strategic part of SnapAV’s distributed products initiative to help custom integrators navigate the space between networking hardware and optimization software, while still offering the personalized service and support they’ve come to expect from SnapAV affiliates.
“We don’t just want our guys to buy products. We want them to understand the specialized details of a wireless environment. These tools are an ideal way to map and track that sort of data, even for integrators who are just starting out in this space.”
SnapAV will offer four customized software packages:
- MetaGeek’s inSSIDer Office, which tracks basic wireless functions
- Chanalyzer, which allows for off-site data reporting
- Eye P.A., which lets integrators capture packets of information on the network
- TamoGraph PRO, which offers heat mapping and roaming capabilities
Ayham Ereksousi, category manager for Araknis, adds these tools will will help integrators that validate the performance of their installations on a regular basis.
“If you’re an installer who frequently troubleshoots network activity, this type of kit represents everything you’ve ever wanted,” explains Ereksousi. “You’re able to pinpoint where connection problems are located, and can identify types of interference, weak spots, and solve many other common issues.”
