With the calendar turning to spring, it's time to think about the outdoors. Helping to make outdoor activities fun, the newly announced Rockustics Escape series of speakers can help integrators turn outdoor spaces into entertainment areas.
Rockustics says that integrators can employ multiple Periscape 4 or Periscape 6 speakers to provide complete coverage to residential and commercial properties, and that the Escape series is designed to provide discreet, directional audio from enclosures that are unobtrusive.
According to the company, some of the ways integrators can use the products in commercial environments include:
- Hotel pool areas
- Courtyards
- Sidewalks
- Cafes
- Other public areas that want coverage for music and announcements
Rockustics, a MSE Audio brand, explains that systems can be configured in any number of ways, and the company suggests as a minimum baseline that a system should include four Periscape speakers and a companion subwoofer. As systems grow, Rockustics recommends that a second subwoofer should be added to configurations that include more than eight speakers.
Rockustics Escape Outdoor Speaker Provide Plenty of Options
The new Escape Outdoor line of products includes a choice of 4 or 6-inch spike or pole-mounted speakers, and a choice of 8, 10 or 12-inch in-ground subwoofers. The Subscape in-ground subwoofers have been designed to complement the Periscape 4 and 6-inch model speakers to help ensure broad and even audio coverage.

Rockustics points out the speakers feature polypropylene cone woofers with NBR surrounds and titanium dome tweeters. The subwoofers incorporate polypropylene cones with NBR surrounds mounted in roto-molded enclosures. The Periscape speakers also provide integrators with 70-volt transformers and 8-ohm setup options to allow for optimized system setup.
In addition, the Escape Series satellite speakers and subwoofers are made from fully weather-resistant materials that are engineered to provide years of reliable performance.
