Recently, CE Pro spoke with Hugo Fitzjohn, Meridian's audio education manager to discuss the company's CEDIA Expo plans, including its 200 series and an educational course on hi-res audio.
What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?
Welcome! Here at Meridian we are all about maximizing audio performance, whether that’s integrating product into an existing system or creating a brand new hi-res audio zone. One thing that we are really proud of here is our level of support that we offer our dealers.
We encourage dealers to utilize our Design and Specification Service – which means that they have Meridian and CEDIA approved plans to work with from the get-go – and we also run regular training sessions to cover a number of areas.
What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?
Our commitment to CI is something that we’ve been really pushing lately and you can see this reflected in our 200 series range – with the aim to bring Meridian sound quality to every audio zone powered.
We understand that flexibility is key to integrators and the product line is tailored around this.
Our Design and Specification Service has also had a real push lately as we don’t just specify Meridian products, we create real plans using other brands as well as our own based on integrators upcoming projects.
If a dealer/integrator stops by your booth with only 5 minutes to spare, what’s the one product he should examine or one question he should ask?
The 200 series! The products have been specifically created for custom install and offer flexibility, control, convenience and a number of features that are new to Meridian.
The 210 Streamer is a must-see and it’s something we’re really excited about.
