It’s been a great year in the custom installation industry. Led by companies such as the super-hot manufacturer Sonos, as well widely popular companies like SnapAV (Araknis) and Paradigm. In 2015, the market not only evolved to meet trending technologies such as streaming audio and video, 4K and high-resolution audio, manufacturers also improved existing technologies to make them state-of-the-art in today’s era of disposable media.
A perfect example of a manufacturer reinventing an existing platform is the British company Meridian. Fresh from its split with the founding members of Sooloos Meridian updated and relaunched its Sooloos system to fit the usage of today’s audio listener and the results are a smashing success.
Using products such as its Media Source 200 and devices like a typical iPad or even a touchscreen PC from companies like HP for control, and NAS devices from companies like QNAP, dealers can assemble state-of-the-art digital audio systems that will not break the bank. Consumers will love the functionality and sound quality the new Meridian Sooloos line delivers, and they will also value data protection Meridian is bringing to the table now.
Not to over look 4K, the Atlanta-based manufacturer Digital Projection (DP) is setting the UltraHD bar as high as it’s ever been with its Insight 4K LED projector that produces stunning HDR-enabled pictures.
