Outdoor audio installations can often suffer from the same sonic affliction as indoor installations, namely not enough bottom end. For installers who want to add more thump to their clients’ back yard tunes, Rockustics lowers the boom with its new SubSub10.

Hear the low frequency goodness (and see how it blends into exterior environments) from the MSE Audio family brand in Sound Room 9 during CEDIA 2016.

Rockustics’ SubSub10 is a direct-burial, in-ground, band-pass subwoofer with a 10-inch polypropylene low-frequency, long-throw woofer and 350W continuous power amplifier.

The SubSub10 is a cylindrical structure enclosure made of proprietary resin composite to prevent breakdown. The enclosure is to be buried underground with only a small port protruding above the ground surface.

A small rock vent cover, available in brown, sandstone and gray, was designed to match its natural environment and easily mounts to the port.

The fully weatherproof, in-ground enclosure is designed to withstand rain, frost, snow and ice.

Its natural, weathered stone aesthetic finish makes the SubSub10 well suited for pools or landscape foliage for residential homes and commercial applications, according to Rockustics.

For greater coverage areas, the SubSub series is available in 12-inch and 15-inch models.
