Adding to its line of home protection products, Roost will introduce its Smart Sensor at CES 2017.
Roost says its latest product is a Wi-Fi connected, multi-function sensor that is capable of detecting water leaks, humidity, and freezing/high temperatures. The company says that dealers can combine the Smart Sensor with its Smart Smoke alarms to provide their clients' homes with complete threat coverage.
The Smart Sensor can be used with the Roost App, which is available on the iOS and Android platforms, for home monitoring.
Once setup and installed, the Smart Sensor provides alerts to homeowners' smart devices to minimize and prevent water leaks that could damage property. Through the app dealers can set temperature and humidity ranges that homeowners want monitored.
The battery-powered device can be place in locations to monitor everything from pipes and toilets to sinks and bath tubs.
Roost also provides an option to enable the Smart Sensor to alert family and friends in the event that homeowners are away for business, vacation or other travel plans. Roost's multi-function Smart Sensor carries an MSRP of $50.
