The global electronics company HP is introducing several new HP programs to help work from home (WFH) and hybrid employees do their jobs more securely.
HP, a popular manufacturer of PCs and printers, has announced a unified computer and print program, and the certification of its enterprise printers and Original HP cartridges as ISO/IEC 20243 certified.
Moreover, the company has also introduced its HP Wolf Protect and Trace, which is a service developed by HP Labs that enables IT professionals to locate devices or take action to lock or erase private data.
HP notes that October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month. This public-service movement, which is now in its 18th year is a government-backed effort to educate the public to help ensure safe and secure online activity.
According to the company, based on information it collected from a recent study, 45% of IT decision makers reported security issues related to printers where printers were attacked as people started to work from home. With WFH and hybrid work schedules now a permanent part of the workplace, employers and employees need support that ranges from supplies to increased security for their devices and network.

HP Programs Support Secure WFH, Hybrid Work Activities
The company’s HP Work from Home program is a solution to help WFH and hybrid employees securely work from home and manage their PCs, printers and supplies. HP says the program includes a range of benefits, including hardware delivered to the home, automatic replacement of supplies, and support such as remote diagnostics.

HP estimates these losses cost more than simply replacing a computer and making up for a worker’s lost productivity—HP states that data breaches cost employers more than $9 million in the U.S., and it is expected that these losses will grow as more people participate in WFH and hybrid work schedules.
HP stresses that its Wolf Protect and Trace service is designed to find lost devices, or lock or erase the data on those devices in order to protect companies from data breaches.
Summing up the service, HP emphasizes that Wolf Protect and Trace protects company data; it helps users find their computers, and it prevents unauthorized use of lost or stolen devices.
