Known for its high-performance planar-magnetic architectural loudspeakers, the newly announced Insight On-Wall series of loudspeakers from Wisdom Audio were developed to help integrators meet a wider array of installation scenarios with its product line.
“We are introducing our brand new Insight On-Wall series. The Series consists of three models—we have the P2m, which is our entry-level model [and] it is priced at $1,700 each in the U.S. market,” says Ron Rouse, vice president of sales, Wisdom Audio.
“And we go onto our P4m, which is D'Appolito design, [and] it is priced at $2,200 each. And we have a subwoofer with the S10. It's a single, sealed passive 10-inch woofer for $1,700. These products are available to be mounted on the wall, or on a bookshelf, [and] they can be mounted vertical or horizontal. The subwoofer is actually pretty unique. Not only can it stand up, but it can lay down up firing and down firing so you can push it under couches and under beds for easier access, and just for multiple applications.”
Wisdom Audio Insight On-Wall Loudspeakers Employ Planar Magnetic Drivers
Wisdom Audio points out the Insight series feature design elements to complement interior spaces such as media rooms and multipurpose rooms.
Available in a choice of either high-gloss black or high-gloss white, the P4m and incorporates the same six-bar orientable planar magnetic driver found in its Sage ICS7-a loudspeaker.
The company mates this planar magnetic driver with a pair of 5-inch drivers, and Wisdom notes that when mounted vertically the speaker will match the height of most 65-inch televisions.
The P2m on-wall speaker uses a similar driver configuration, but with a single 5-inch driver.
Elaborating on the mounting flexibility of the products, Wisdom Audio says both the P2m and P4m mount vertically or horizontally simply by rotating their respective PMD modules 90 degrees.
Luc Guillaume, managing director, Wisdom Audio, adds the launch of the Insight On-Wall series of products ultimately meets the requests of dealers needing more product diversity.
“Expanding our best selling range of loudspeakers to cover on-wall applications was a market request we couldn't ignore any longer,” comments Guillaume.
