CE Pro research says about 30 precent of residential dealers are now looking into commercial projects. For installers seeking to service their commercial clients with the elusive “huddle room” technology, Middle Atlantic has a solution.
Not too long ago Middle Atlantic introduced the Hub, a solution designed to meet the growing demand for huddle space solutions. The Garden State company says it developed the Hub to install easily and to serve users as an unified source for communications.
“Hub is a direct response to overwhelming interest from our A/V contractor partners for a flexible, comprehensive solution to create collaborative spaces with great ease,” says Tim Troast, director of product management for Middle Atlantic. “Hub offers the complete foundation to optimize performance from the technology and people who use these collaborative spaces. End users get a comprehensive solution that is easy to buy and simple to install, creating a new revenue opportunity beyond electronics, labor and services.”
Middle Atlantic says the Hub tabletop comprises a Wiremold InteGreat table box that provides power and data for BYOD (bring your own device) usage. Middle Atlantic supports these features with its TechPed technology pedestal that includes Lever Lock plates for small device mounting and two Wiremold HDMI cable retractors to enable connectivity for anyone positioned around the table.
TechPed also includes 4RU of space with room for additional cable retractors and power options with a four-outlet power strip. Additionally, the Hub includes a wall-mount bracket for flat-panel displays, along with another four-outlet power strip. Middle Atlantic also offers an optional tower that's available in a choice of black or white that can be used to mount displays directly to the table in a freestanding configuration.
The GREENGUARD Gold-certified for use in public, educational and institutional spaces, and Middle Atlantic offers the product in a choice of more than 50 colors, as well as a choice of HPL or thermolaminate table finishes.
Middle Atlantic also provides a choice of table configurations to support a variety of applications, and the company adds all dealers need to do to order their desired Hub configuration is to choose a single part number and the color.
