There may be no more important areas of a home to control lighting and shades than heavily used kitchens and bathrooms, as well as invest in renovations that include modern technology. Toward that end, Lutron Electronics debuted its all-new Luxury Experience App at the recently held Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas.
The company also showcased a Tiny Home Experience featuring some of the brand’s latest and most popular offerings.
KBIS attendees were among the first design professionals to experience Lutron’s new Luxury Experience App. The app is a powerful tool that enables homeowners, designers, and custom integrators to peruse through Lutron lighting, shades, and controls and visualize how they bring any home to life.
The iPad application, compatible with iPad OS 16.4 or later, aims to redefine the way architects and designers interact with the Lutron portfolio, offering an unparalleled digital journey through luxury residential solutions, according to the company.
Other key Luxury Experience App features offer innovations designed to elevate user engagement, including:

- Assets that bring the natural light story to life through an interactive dynamic light simulator, where the user can see how Ketra intelligent lighting synchronizes with the color temperature of the sun throughout the day.
- A shades openness simulator that lets users visualize window shade fabrics and openness factors – even placed over their own window using the iPad’s camera. This capability ensures the selected fabric achieves the optimal balance of outdoor views, light filtering, and privacy in any living space.
- A live keypad configurator that allows users to customize and preview keypad designs against their own wall, using the iPad’s camera, to tailor the aesthetic to their preferences and ensure it aligns with their home’s interior design.
“The Luxury Experience App is intended to immerse the user in the world of Lutron, acting as a virtual extension of Lutron’s Experience Centers,” says Ben Bard, Vice President, Lutron Luxury Residential business.
“Capabilities like the camera tool, which simulates Lutron products in client projects, blend digital elements with reality to facilitate decision-making and enhance the customer experience with Lutron’s offerings.”
Tiny Home Is Big Showcase for Lutron, Ketra
The Tiny Home Experience, designed and built by Cavco homes, a Phoenix-based company, and with lighting integration by Jesse Silva of The PAVE (The ProView Audio Video Experience), also in Phoenix, was a 400 square-foot highlighting a wide range of Lutron and Ketra offerings.
Visitors had the opportunity to experience how light can help shape our perception of any space through an immersive demonstration of Lutron’s automated light, shade and control capabilities and their impact on interior aesthetics.
Within the Tiny Home Experience, Lutron showcased 13 of its Palladiom wire-free roller shades, five Palladiom keypads, and a range of Ketra lamps and lighting solutions.
“The quality of light, in particular, is an abstract concept that can be challenging to convey but always provides an immediate ‘aha’ moment once designers and clients experience it in person,” says Cecilia Ramos, Senior Director of Architectural Markets at Lutron.
“We find that showcases at our Experience Centers are our most impactful sales tool – and we [were] thrilled to be able to offer an immersive light demonstration courtesy of our Tiny Home at KBIS to bring this experience to an even wider audience.”
