iRoom, inventor of the iPad in-wall docking station, keeps innovating and revolutionizing the Smart Home and Smart Business market. iRoom’s product line has become quite impressive. Custom installers will always find the right solution for any project budget and any functionality whether it’s just a simple entry-level in-wall docking station, a model with motorized release of the iPad or a combined iPad docking and Smart Control solution. Besides functionality and great workmanship, all models are designed to match Apple’s iPad design in style and color and to blend perfectly in almost any interior design.
iRoom’s iBezel and iTop, the company’s latest innovations are the most versatile solutions in their category. Not only do they store and charge all actual iPad models, they also secure the iPad through an anti-theft protection that allows to release the iPad only by entering a passcode on the touch-sensitive keypad. They also have the ability to control any IP addressable device independent of the iPad through their built-in control processor. This adds convenience to any control environment where the iPad is part of the control solution. For commonly used control functions such as lights, blinds, source select or volume the user just presses a button on the glass faceplate instead of unlocking the iPad screen, open the control app and finding the right control function in the app. iBezel and iTop are stand-alone control units but they can also integrate with all major third-party control systems such as Crestron, AMX, Control4, RTI, Savant, Key Digital and others in order to be used as a control device for these third-party systems. iRoom provides free drivers to make integration smooth and fast. All functionality that iTop and iBezel offer, even control, can be easily configured via iRoom’s iPad app.
When using iBezel and iTop as stand-alone control units the control processor sends IP commands directly to the devices that are controlled. For devices that aren’t IP addressable iRoom provides a variety of optional control interfaces that allows custom installers to control through Infrared, RS232/485 or high-voltage relays. The control interfaces connect to iBezel or iTop via LAN or WiFi.
