SoundVision, LLC, a Mooresville, N.C., integrator that provides audio, video, lighting, shading, security and smart home solutions to the greater Charlotte area and the Carolinas, is expanding its presence and service capabilities in North Carolina by acquiring Sound Decisions, Inc. Based in Wilmington, N.C., Sound Decisions is a 35-year-old, well-established custom integrator in that coastal region specializing in home automation and custom AV solutions.
The Details Behind the Acquisition
By joining forces, the two companies aim to create seamless, integrated experiences for clients across residential and commercial projects, according to SoundVision. Sound Decisions staff will continue to operate out of their Wilmington office, ensuring continuity and local support. SoundVision plans to bring its signature processes and personalized design approach to Sound Decisions’ existing customer base.
“Our shared commitment to quality and innovation, along with our similar team cultures, makes this a perfect match,” says Keith Register, owner of Sound Decisions.
“We’re excited about the opportunities this creates for our team and our clients.”
Both companies are focused on ensuring a smooth transition for all customers and partners.

A Continuing Trend in the CI Industry
The acquisition is the latest in a growing trend of acquisitive moves in the custom integration channel. Recently, AHT Global scooped up Gilmore’s Sound Advice and Audio Advice acquired The Audio Lab, for instance.
“We are thrilled to welcome the Sound Decisions team into the SoundVision family,” said Mark DiPietro, owner of SoundVision, which he established 14 years ago.
“This acquisition allows us to combine our expertise and resources, giving us the ability to deliver an even higher level of innovation and customer service to our clients in Wilmington and beyond.”
SoundVision was No. 72 on the most recent CE Pro 100 list, pulling in over $4.5 million in the 2023 year used for last year’s rankings.
