Ever since Sonos first hit the market it has always balanced the interest of general consumers and audiophiles. The company's new product, the white SUB powered subwoofer, delivers that same balance.
Responding to dealer and consumer demand, the company has announced that it is taking pre-orders for a white version of its SUB product, which will be available on October 25.
Like the gloss black version that has been available for several years, the white version SUB utilizes a force-cancelling design that features two woofers facing one another that Sonos says enable the subwoofer to play low frequencies without rattling and other distracting noises.
The twin woofers are powered by two Class D amplifiers, and the amps and woofers are controlled by active equalization and digital time alignment engineering concepts via Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
Sonos also points out that, like other products, the SUB features the company's wireless connectivity to facilitate placement within a room to enable dealers to place the product in locations that complement a home's interior design.
The wireless audio company adds the SUB is rated to play down to 25Hz, and it includes wireless and Ethernet network connection options.
