Debuting at the 2015 CEDIA Expo, the KP-6 designer in-wall accessory keypad features a decora-style industrial design to complement the interior spaces of most homes. The N.Y.-based company states it designed the keypad to provide homeowners with instant access to their Autonomic whole-house audio system's basic functions without having to open their smart device apps.
“With the growing popularity of the Mirage Audio System as the go-to solution for whole-house entertainment, we identified a need for instant access to key features via a single button press,” says Michael de Nigris, CEO, Autonomic Controls, Inc. “The KP-6 keypad frees users from having to rely on their phone or tablet to adjust volume or change source on the fly, and it gives integrators an interface solution that is intuitive and elegant, as well as easy to program and install.”
The KP-6 offers one-button touch to controls such as volume, source and track skip. It also includes four programmable preset buttons. Dealers can program these buttons for instant access to everything from a Pandora or SiriusXM station to a favorite playlist or favorite album.
The box the KP-6's presets will all be the same from zone to zone, and dealers can use its Web configuration page to program the customized presets.
The company adds that its M-800 amplifier works with as many as 32 KP-6 keypads, and the M-400 works with as many as 16 KP-6 keypads. The KP-6 is also compatible with Lutron's Designer Solutions residential wall plates to further aid the keypad's ability to blend into just about any home decor.
