Matrix switcher and signal distribution manufacturer Key Digital is diversifying its product mix with its new KD-IP120Tx HDMI over IP transmitter.
The company says the HDMI over IP transmitter extender supports HDMI pass-through to allow for the reception of video or the extraction of audio on the transmission side.
Dealers can employ as many as 1,024 transmitters in a system, as well as an unlimited amount of its companion KDIP120Rx HDMI Receiver Extenders, to scale systems of any size to meet their clients' exact specifications.
The products supports 1080p at 60Hz (2.25Gbps), as well as other formats such as DVI 1.0, and 44.1/48kHz PCM audio.
Key Digital also says the transmitter supports A/V bitrates up to 15Mbps, 12-bit color, and can transmit 1080p at 60Hz (2.25Gbps) using Cat-5e/Cat-6 cabling distances up to 400 feet. To help ensure signal integrity, the transmitter incorporates a full buffer system that manages TMDS reclocking, signal regeneration, HDCP authentication to source and display, and EDID control handshakes.
Key Digital backs the product with a 10-year warranty.
