Leading the way in the HDMI-over-IP signal transmission category, the Fla.-based manufacturer Just Add Power (JAP) is bolstering its product line by introducing four new products at the upcoming Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) trade show in Amsterdam on Feb. 9-12.

The first of its four new products is the 3G+AVP Rackmount Transmitter. Just Add Power says this solution is a 1RU component with three of its 3G+AVP Ultra HD over IP Transmitters built in. The product supports 4K resolutions with HDCP 2.2 copyright protection, and it offers 1080p or lower resolution support from three HDMI 2.0 or 1.x sources over a local area network via a Layer 3 Gigabit managed switch. To decode these signals the company points out all dealers need to do is place a 3G+AVP receiver at display locations.

Just Add Power states the Rackmount Receiver also offers the ability to downscale 4K/HDCP 2.2 signals on HDMI 1.x screens, and it can upscale lower resolution signals, including 1080p from any HDMI 1.x device to 4K 2,160p levels for viewing on UltraHD televisions.

The second product release fromt the company is the 3G+HIFI Transmitter with local HDMI output for local distribution installations that require uncompressed multichannel audio that include the object-based surround sound formats Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. The company notes the 3G+HIFI Transmitter is designed to transmit uncompressed audio over a network using existing 3G+AVP Receivers, and the product can be mixed-and-matched within the same network that includes 3G+AVP Transmitters.

Supporting dealers during the installation process is the company's 19-inch Razor Shelf accessory. The signal transmission company explains this product addition enables dealers to securely place as many as 13 2G/3G+ or 3G transmitter or receivers vertically into a desired location. Using the company's transmitters and receivers with Layer 3 managed switches and the Razor Shelf unit dealers can neatly configure systems with as many inputs as needed—2×2 to 4,000 x 65,000—to address everything from small residential jobs, to large commercial jobs.

The last new product from JAP to be introduced at ISE is the IR Dongle device, designed to reduce the costs associated with HDMI over IP installations. This unit converts RS-232 to IR to allow for full IR control of integrated sources and displays in any 2G/2G+ or 3G Just Add Power HDMI over IP installation. This product is compatible with all Just Add Power products that incorporate serial ports.
