Just Add Power, a manufacturer of AV-over-IP products and systems, showcased its new MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter at ISE 2024. This reveal follows the launch of the MC-QX MaxColor 4K Tiling and Warping Transmitter.
The Fla.-based company states that its latest transmitter product offers professional integrators native 4K support, and it also provides support for the AES67 digital audio format to offer dealers a flexible AV-over-IP solution.
“When we introduced our 3G Ultra 4K 767AES transmitter, our customers asked that we add the AES67 compatibility to the MaxColor Series,” says Taft Stricklin, chief sales officer at Just Add Power. “Just Add Power has always taken the road of providing the utmost flexibility to fit any project. The new MC-TX3 is the best of both worlds.”
MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter Features Power Over USB-C
Outlining some of the options the new MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter offer include the ability to support native 4K at 60Hz content on both the input and output of the system to enable integrators to deliver UltraHD video throughout a whole-house AV system or commercial AV system. The new Just Add Power Transmitter also supports protocols such as AES67 to allow integrators to design and install digitally based distributed audio systems.
Other features the MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter delivers 12-bit color and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling over existing Cat-5/Cat-6 cabling.

A key option the transmitter offers according to Just Add Power, is its power over USB-C. Through this feature the company explains, integrators can power KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) systems, along with devices such as USB web cams. Just Add Power notes the MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter provides MPEG downstreaming for connected devices such as laptops and smart devices, and it supports the input of as many as eight LPCM channels of audio.
In addition, Just Add Power says the MC-TX3 MaxColor 4K60 Series Transmitter offers standard features such as HDMI pass-through, control of endpoints via RS-232, IR or CEC, and the company’s Image Pull options that allows users to preview an image from any source or display from any web browser or control system at levels up to 10fps.
