AudioControl is launching the eTV, an eARC-to-Dante converter which the company says is a first-of-its-kind solution for CI channel pros that connects the stereo audio signal from a video display via eARC to any Dante-enabled device for distribution to any zone.
The company says this stands out from other solutions due to its compact eARC to Dante converter that creates more opportunity for integrators to distribute TV audio, especially those from TV apps, synchronized across all Dante-equipped zones without any latency.
This essentially allows users to enjoy local TV audio from any zone with local volume control using the TV’s standard remote while controlling distributed volume in Dante-equipped zones using any third-party control platform. Audio output must be configured for 2-channel PCM, the company adds.
AudioControl to Release eTV eARC-to-Dante Converter Later This Month
AudioControl’s eTV eARC-to-Dante converter, available later this month, is designed to be compact and fit behind the thinnest flat-panel TVs. Signal transfer will be available to any networked Dante device.
According to AudioControl, industry-standard sampling rates from 44.1 kHz to as high as 96 kHz in 16-, 24-, or 32-bit word lengths are converted into analog with zero impact on audio fidelity for detailed, precise site-wide playback.
The Future of Digital Lighting & Control
As a custom integrator, lighting is in demand. Effective communication, education and showcasing the value proposition of LED light fixtures in conjunction with integrative control systems are the keys to overcoming challenges and closing sales in this specialized market. Once powered and connected to a Dante network, the converter is auto discovered for easy identification, the company says.
According to Chris Kane, vice president of residential sales at AudioControl’s parent company AVPro Global, the eTV Dante-to-eARC converter was developed in direct response to AV integrators using eARC looking for an efficient way to interface with Dante systems.
“With the addition of this innovative solution, AudioControl has enhanced the capabilities of the Dante ecosystem, enabling dealers to exceed client’s expectations by providing TV audio to any zone with startling clarity and effortless connectivity,” Kane says.
