Wireless security solutions provider Resolution Products is collaborating with Pella Corp., a privately held window and door manufacturing firm, to integrate wireless technology with Pella smart windows and doors. Resolution’s RE524XP Universal Translator will incorporate Pella’s Insynctive Technology, enabling the company’s windows and doors to be compatible with most major security systems.
Pella’s built-in security sensors provide open/close status for its Designer Series windows, and an additional benefit of locked/unlocked status for Designer Series patio doors, plus Architect Series and Pella-branded entry doors.
With Pella’s wireless, built-in security sensors, the technology is installed during manufacturing, which allows installing security contractors to maintain the homeowner’s window and door warranties. Plus, the hidden wireless sensors preserve the aesthetic qualities of the windows and doors, according to a joint announcement.
“By having the sensors integrated into the window at the time of manufacture, dealers can deliver this security and automation without impacting the performance or aesthetics of the window — a critical barrier faced by dealers on every installation,” says Dave Mayne, vice president of marketing, Resolution. “Including Insynctive Technology in the Universal Translator family of products allows virtually any professional security dealer to take advantage of Pella’s security and automation platform.”
The integration within the universal translator offers installing security contractors, builders and homeowners more flexibility, according to Caleb Klein, product manager, Pella Insynctive.
“Pella will continue to provide Insynctive as a stand-alone offering for builders and homeowners, but now, with our connection to Resolution, Pella’s integrated sensors, can be directly incorporated into a home’s security system,” says Klein.
The RE524XP Universal Translator will be available to all Resolution Products distributors and dealers in the summer.
