Loxx Boxx, a provider of state-of-the-art package security solutions, has announced significant updates to its package protection plans and mobile app. These enhancements include new and improved features to equip customers to safeguard packages from theft and deter porch pirates.
Citing market research, the company says the average consumer is projected to spend nearly $6,000 online in 2024; by 2026, this spending is expected to climb to $7,000. Package theft also continues to rise, with an estimated 119 million packages stolen in 2023. In a time when safeguarding deliveries is more critical than ever,Loxx Boxx offers its steel, porch-mounted delivery storage boxes to ensure packages remain secure until consumers can retrieve them.
The redesigned Loxx Boxx app is said to offer advanced package protection and delivery monitoring by incorporating features not currently offered by any other parcel box provider:
Email Integration: The company now offers two opt-in features that simplify the process of adding delivery tracking details into the app. Gmail users have the option to enable the new Google-authorized “Connected Inbox” feature, which securely scans their connected Gmail account for inbound vendor emails containing tracking numbers and automatically adds them to their Loxx Boxx app. Users of other email services can also enjoy automated tracking capabilities, found under the “Track Your Orders” menu option in the app, by forwarding emails containing tracking numbers to a dedicated address.
Voice Assistant Support: Customers can receive real-time alerts about shipments, internal box temperature, tampering, and battery life status with the new free-to-enable Loxx Boxx Amazon Alexa Skill. Users can also use the Alexa integration to grant carriers access to the Loxx Boxx, using verbal commands to input tracking numbers or personalized codes in the app.
Enhanced Courier Support: The Loxx Boxx app now supports secure tracking and delivery protection for over 1,000 parcel carriers worldwide, expanding from its initial support for major courier services including Amazon, DHL, FedEx, Lasership, UPS and USPS.
Improved User Experience: In addition to software upgrades for faster, more intuitive app navigation, the app now incorporates embedded video tutorials that improve users’ solution setup, calibration and deployment experience.
