Idlespace Technology, the exclusive distributor of Philips Home Access Smart Door Locks in North America, is announcing the Wi-Fi Palm Recognition Smart Deadbolt at CES 2024.
The Wi-Fi Palm Recognition Smart Deadbolt is the latest addition to the line of Philips Home Access smart locks, which became available in Spring 2023. The new deadbolt will headline the product line.
According to Idlespace, the lock, integrating palm recognition technology, is designed to revolutionize how homeowners secure their properties with help of a palm vein reader that automatically detects and recognizes a user’s unique palm vein pattern. This allows for quick unlocking of doors and ensures that family members of all ages can unlock doors.
The company says the Philips Wi-Fi Palm Recognition Smart Deadbolt features grab-and-go technology and built-in proximity sensors that detect a user’s presence as they reach toward indoor knob or lever, sending signals to unlock the deadbolt. This eliminates the need to physically manipulate the deadbolt.
The deadbolt is designed to integrate with smart home ecosystems and can be voice controlled through Alexa or Google platforms, as well as the Philips Home Access app.
The lock will be available for purchase in the first half of 2024 at a price of $359.99.
