Using the same drivers as its professional products, Alcons Audio has announced its SRHV/9040 system.
The company’s newest system expands Alcon’s selection of screening room and home theater systems. Alcons Audio states the SRHV/9040 system is designed to serve users as a compact reference screening system and it is engineered to deliver high sound pressure levels (SPLs) and high levels of intelligibility.
Alcons Audio explains the system utilizes efficient, two-way passive filtering, along with a vented 8-inch midrange driver and RBN401 pro-ribbon driver.
Going down to a low frequency of 58Hz, the SRHV/9040 can be used as stand alone monitors or integrators can combine the products with subwoofers.
According to the company, the MHF section has an 800-watt peak power input, and the speakers’ 90-degree horizontal dispersion delivers tight vertical coverage to enable seamless imaging.
Alcons Audio adds that SRHV/9040 system’s revolvable RBN waveguide and trapezoidal enclosure, along with an optional grill and ACO color option supports integrators’ ability to install the system in a range of home environments.
