SoundTube Entertainment has appointed Peter Melvin as the new vice president of commercial audio products. According to SoundTube, Peter is being brought onto the company to help drive its growth and partnerships in the AV industry.

Shannon Humphrey, president of SoundTube, expressed enthusiasm about the new addition to the leadership team.
“Peter’s extensive industry knowledge, proven leadership skills, and his experience with our products make him an ideal fit for this role,” Humphrey said.
“We’re confident that his expertise will significantly impact our growth and strengthen our position in the commercial audio market.”
Melvin also expressed excitement over his new position.
“Having worked closely with SoundTube products in the past, I am pumped to join a US based family run business where we can partner with integrators, rep groups and consultants,” he said.
“Our goal is to build strong relationships while delivering creative audio solutions and providing great customer experiences — while always having fun!”
A Little Bit of a Background on Melvin
Melvin previously served in key leadership roles at prominent AV companies, such as Herman Pro AV (once SoundTube’s largest distributor before being acquired by Resideo) and IAVI (which was also later acquired by Exertis Almo).
While at Herman, Melvin’s leadership helped the distributor blossom to become one of the fastest growing AV companies in the industry. His tenure at IAVI, meanwhile, was marked by exceptional growth, where the amazing team at IAVI increased annual revenue fourfold in just three years.
Known for his effective leadership style, Peter has a reputation for fostering a fun and collaborative work environment that brings staff together, which SoundTube notes aligns perfectly with the company’s core values and vision for the future.
Outside of work, Melvin enjoys a wonderful life in Healdsburg, California with his wife Melissa and their rescue doodle, Gracie Lou. He is known as the purveyor of fun, loves cigars and is an avid pickleball enthusiast.
