I was honored to participate in the tribute video for Chang K. Park, the 2016 recipient of CEDIA's Lifetime Achievement Award. I have saluted the URC founder in the past not only for his vision and accomplishments in the remote-control business, but for his passion for the industry, including his employees and customers.
Here is the video that CEDIA presented during the big show in Dallas last week. It shows just a hint of the man who is not only a pioneer of remote controls, but a decent and philanthropic business person.
In my part of the video, I only wish the video editors would have included this line of mine: “Mr. Park won't be the guy swinging from the chandeliers, but I guarantee you he'll be the most interesting guy at the dinner table.”
Hats off to you, my friend.
