Announced at CES 2019, the new Pioneer S9 wireless noise-canceling headphones (SE-MS9BN) are engineered to balance the performance characteristics of music lovers and the functionality of business users.
Pioneer says that its latest headphones are optimized for Google Assistant and high-resolution audio playback, and the S9s employ 40mm rare-earth magnet drivers to support a range of content, including high-resolution audio.
Pioneer S9s Block Out Noise, Work With iOS or Android
The S9s allow wearers to wirelessly stream music and make hands-free calls via Bluetooth and offer the aptX HD audio codec to support HQ wireless audio.
The headphones incorporate nearfield communications (NFC) technologies to help users pair the S9s to their favorite smart devices quickly.

The S9s incorporate active noise-canceling that eliminates a high level of background noise, and Ambient Awareness Mode filters automatically apply its noise-canceling technologies when appropriate.
A multi-point function allows users to simultaneously connect two smart devices at the same time. In this scenario, one pairing can be used for music and a second smart device pairing can be used for wireless calls.
Google Assistant Keeps Users Connected
The S9s are also optimized for Google Assistant, giving users the ability to access the Google Play store and Google Maps. All users need to do is press and hold a button to start a conversation with Google.
Pioneer developed the S9s for long periods of usage without stress and fatigue by making use of sliding hangers and low-profile polyurethane-cushioned earpads that surround users' ears while aligning with their heads.
Aesthetically, the headphones feature a blend of retro and modern industrial designs highlighted by an aluminum housing available in a choice of black or gold finishes.
Pioneer also offers a companion app for the headphones available for Apple iOS and Android users.
The company says the S9s deliver up to 27 hours of wireless playback before needing a recharge.
