Peerless-AV Offers Up New Outdoor Soundbar, Mounts, Trip to Daytona 500

Peerless-AV signs deal to supply more than 700 outdoor TVs and mounts for Daytona National Speedway. New active soundbar enables greater outdoor sound range vs. passive soundbars.


Peerless-AV is using its booth at CEDIA Expo 2015 to showcase an array of mounts, soundbars, outdoor TVs and wireless transmission products, but they are have a “high-speed” offering. But it's not what CE pros might think.

Today, at 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16, the company is raffling offer a trip for two to the Daytona 500 in February. The prize package includes hotel, airfare and a $500 American Express gift card. Why Daytona? Peerless-AV recently inked a deal to provide more than 700 TVs and mounts for the famed speedway. At the race, Peerless-AV will have an RV in the infield and a luxury suite in the grandstands. Second place winners will be awarded an exclusive prize package.

On the product front, the company's booth is the debut of its new Xtreme Outdoor Soundbar at CEDIA. The new IP65-rated soundbar produces full range audio (50Hz – 20kHz) because it is active vs. passive. It offers 60 watts of power, producing higher quality sound at a louder volume. It has two 1-inch tweeters and two 2.75-inch woofers and can mount on top or below the TV because of an adjustable tapered end that can be swapped to conform to the TV contours. The unit has an MSRP of $699 and will be available in December, accordingto Earl Naegle, director of Pro AV sales. For ease in use, the soundbar features a universal mounting option, making it possible to integrate with any display or TV. Plus, set-up is simple with a direct wired connection. The Xtreme Outdoor Soundbar can also be used as a standalone product thanks to its Bluetooth compatibility, which allows for music to be wirelessly streamed from any Bluetooth-enabled device.


Also in the booth is the new DesignerSeries Universal Ultra Slim Articulating Wall Mounts. The Universal Ultra Slim Articulating Wall Mount (SUA771PU) is designed exclusively for 42- to 90-inch ultra-thin displays. It features dual-arm construction, internal cable management, and an innovative adaptor plate design.

For displays measuring 37 to 65 inches, the DesignerSeries offers the SUA761PU. Both the SUA771PU and SUA761PU allow for landscape or portrait mounting and boast an I-Shaped Adaptor Plate, providing the stability needed to support large ultra thin displays and easier access to inputs and power supplies.

For slightly smaller displays (32 to 40 inches), Peerless-AV has the DesignerSeries Universal Ultra Slim Articulating Wall Mount (SUA740P) with a One-Touch tilt mechanism, arm retraction and extension, and vertical adjustment for post-installation leveling and height adjustment fine-tuning. :00 pm.
