Crestron Electronics has opened a state-of-the-art research and testing lab for its residential product line to facilitate additional product innovation. This lab, located at Crestron’s Rockleigh, N.J., headquarters, represents the company's ongoing investment in researching and testing large scale residential home automation/smart home systems.
“We are essentially building a series of sizeable Crestron homes within our expansive engineering facilities so we can further understand and ensure the best end user experience,” says Crestron chief technology officer Fred Bargetzi.
The new lab combined with another 3,000 square feet in progress will be one of the largest home technology research and test labs in the industry with hundreds of user interfaces, lighting loads, shades, climate, DigitalMedia, security, and all the latest A/V sources.
“This facility is another example of Crestron’s continued commitment to making the best residential systems on the market, blending the latest in technology with unsurpassed quality,” adds Bargetzi.
