Crestron Builds Huge New Campus in Plano, Texas

Home automation giant Crestron Electronics will open largest campus outside Rockleigh, N.J., at new Legacy Tower in Plano, about 15 minutes from rival AMX.

Crestron Electronics, a leading provider of commercial- and home-automation systems with revenues over $1 billion, is leasing 56,000 square feet at the new Legacy Tower in Plano, Texas.

The new Dallas-area office will be the company’s largest operation outside of its Rockleigh, N.J., headquarters, and is conveniently located just 15 miles away from competitor AMX, a Harman company.

Crestron expects to employ about 250 to 300 staffers in the Legacy office, mostly in the areas of R&D, customer support, engineering, manufacturing and IT. Move-in day is scheduled for July.

Crestron already has a small operation in the area at the Dallas Experience Center in Flower Mound.
