Celerity Fiber Optic Cables are Simple to Terminate with Detachable HDMI Connectors

The Celerity 18Gbps Fiber Optic HDMI cables are available in lengths up to 1,000 feet, and come with matched pairs of detachable transmitter and receiver connectors.


Celerity Fiber Optic HDMI cables are the latest high-bandwidth, fiber-based cabling product to hit the custom installation market. 

The Irvine, California cabling company is the second most popular provider of fiber cabling solutions according to the annual CE Pro 100 Brand Analysis, so it is no stranger to the channel. 

Available now, Celerity's Universal Fiber Optic (UFO) cables continues the company's “2 Steps to Fiber Optic HDMI” design philosophy that eliminates the need for tools and fiber termination. 

“Celerity have always been on the leading edge of fiber optic technology, and UFO continues this,” says Buzz Delano, director of business development. “UFO is a 100-percent optical interface from each HDMI connector, which allows the cable to be bi-directional and provide 18Gbps performance stability and even better for our dealers in the future.”

Delano says the company will offer an HDMI 2.1 system in the future. 

Celerity Fiber Optic HDMI Cables Deliver 18Gbps Throughput

Delivered as a complete system, the plenum-rated Celerity UFO fiber is available in lengths of 35 feet to 1,000 feet, and it comes with matched pairs of detachable transmitter (TX) and receiver (RX) HDMI connectors. Each TX and RX connector cable includes a 6-foot fiber pigtail terminated with a Celerity UFO connector to enable integrators to easily couple the connectors to UFO cable runs.

Celerity UFO products feature hardwired USB power cables for connections at the display location. USB power also is available as an option for the source location.

Celerity supports the high-speed 18Gbps fiber HDMI cables with its optional Keystone Wall Plate that connects the in-wall UFO fiber cable to the front side TX or RX connector cable.
