Even Captain Kirk on Star Trek would be jealous of this chair!
At the upcoming CEDIA 2016, Fortress Seating (booth #5315) will unveil its new Smart Chair technology, which seamlessly interacts with home automation and control systems.
The chair features state-of-the-art human occupancy sensors, preset seating positions, and numerous other options. Not only can control systems be programmed to trigger automated responses based on human motion or movement taking place in the chair such as sitting or standing, the smart chair senses when an impingement occurs and will cease all motorized functions or movement.
At the show, the technology will debut in Fortress's Bijou model. Integrators have controlled many different home amenities with automation, from shades to lifts, so why not seating?
