CEDIA 2017 is right around the corner. Ahead of the show, CE Pro spoke to Dave Cusick, director of screen sales, Crystal Screens, about what the company (which is exhibiting with Broadata in booth #3451) has in store for CEDIA attendees in San Diego.
What would you say to dealers who are stumbling across your company for the first time?
Our newest projection screen uses technology that you’ve never seen before. It allows us to show rich, colorful video even under bright lights.
What would you say to dealers who are already familiar with your product line?
Come talk to us about are larger screen sizes. We can make screens up to 150-inches diagonal.
If a dealer/integrator stops by your booth with only 5 minutes to spare, what’s the one product he should examine or one question he should ask?
What is unique about your screen?
Answer? This screen is a groundbreaking development for high end home theaters. Our technology and production capabilities are so vastly different than other screen materials that we are able to make the 130” screen without a seam and with all the amazing qualities of our smaller screens such as high gain, outstanding detail and black levels and zero hot spots.
The wider aspect ratio is becoming more common in residential installations because the 2.4:1 format matches the aspect ratio of many films being produced today. It’s a wider format than standard 16:9 so you won’t have the distracting black bars on the top and bottom of the screen. The frame will match the video because most popular movies are now filmed using the wider aspect ratio.
