Networking manufacturer Zyxel Networks is launching the USG LITE 60AX AX6000 Wi-Fi 6 Security Router, marketed as an all-in-one, cloud-managed router designed for remote workers and small businesses.
The USG LITE 60AX features Zyxel’s Smart Mesh technology, automatically forming dynamic wireless links between the company’s Nebula access points to provide fast, reliable connectivity throughout the home or office and reduce the need for wiring.
According to Zyxel, the USG LITE 60AX introduces several noteworthy features aimed at enhancing network performance and security. The device is powered by a quad-core 64-bit CPU, which enables it to handle demanding network tasks, improve data transfer speeds, and enhance the overall online experience. With WiFi 6 AX6000 technology, the router supports speeds up to 6 Gbps and 160MHz channels. Additionally, dual 2.5GbE WAN/LAN ports are included to reduce or eliminate bottlenecks, facilitating smooth multi-gigabit speeds provided by ISPs.
Zyxel says the USG LITE 60AX offers robust protection without the need for subscriptions. It utilizes the Zyxel Security Cloud to deliver advanced threat management and protection from cyber threats such as ransomware and malware. The router also supports secure site-to-site and remote access VPN connections through the Zyxel Networks Nebula Cloud Center, providing a secure network environment for remote workers.
The router’s cloud management capabilities are streamlined through the Nebula cloud management platform, the company says. This platform allows for the centralized configuration and management of over 100 Nebula-compatible devices, including access points, switches, firewalls, and routers. Recent updates to Nebula include cloud stacking support for XGS2220 switches, improved configuration transitions, and a new bulk-site creation feature for MSPs.

In addition, the router is built sustainably, including a chassis constructed from 95% post-consumer recycled plastics. Packaging volume is also reduced by 40% and includes 100% halogen-free soy-based inks for packaging.
According to Tri Nguyen, channel sales and product manager at Zyxel, studies show that more than 20% of Americans will work remotely by 2025, and the majority of Fortune 500 companies plan to continue remote work flexibility.
